Introduction[edit | edit source]

Welcome to the Once Ever After walkthrough, primarily written by me, Grim8P.[1] This walkthrough is intended to cover everything you would possibly want to know about every aspect of the game. Some sections of the game will allow you to make different decisions for different benefits and consequences. This walkthrough will cover the different options you can take while not assuming you have made specific choices. One point though is that the walkthrough will assume you have followed the guide up to that point. For example, the walkthrough may point out that you should do something which requires a specific Intelligence or Corruption value. The requirement will be listed so you can understand why you may need to come back later to complete that task.

This walkthrough will cover how to obtain every item you can obtain for free (in a chest, as a quest reward, etc.), every archetype, skill slot, point of Intelligence, point of Corruption, and sex scene.

Some content in this game is missable. When the walkthrough states that you can perform an action to proceed, expect that you are done with the area either for the time being or forever.

The guide rarely mentions how to equip your party members or which skills to use. You should always use what equipment and skills you think are best. There are tips for specific fights though. Refer to the tips section below for more information.

Tips[edit | edit source]

General tips[edit | edit source]

Here are some general tips:

  • The intended way to play is to use the Z, X, and arrow keys. You can use your mouse instead, but there is a mini game that requires you use your keyboard.[2]
  • You can hold down Shift in combat to speed up animations.
  • You can press F4 to fullscreen the game.
  • You can press F5 to go back to the main menu. You can use this to quickly load a save file as appropriate.
  • You can hold down W to skip text.
  • You can turn Always Dash on in the menu.
  • You can turn Instant Text on in the menu.
  • You can hover your mouse over a reference to read it instead of clicking on it to be taken to the bottom of the page.[3]

Gameplay tips[edit | edit source]

  • It is not recommended to sell equipment. A lot of equipment is unique and money should not generally be a concern.
  • You do not need to grind experience, archetype points, or money to win. However there are a number of useful pieces of equipment and skills so if you are struggling, there is no issue with doing so. Fighting every battle once is a good idea in general to keep you strong enough to keep moving forward.[4]
  • Agility is the most important stat as it determines when you get to take a turn. High Agility can also allow your party members to take multiple turns between enemy turns.
  • Intelligence and Corruption are important stats throughout the game.
    • Corruption caps at -100 and is required for the best ending. There is more leeway with Corruption and some catchup mechanics are in place for it.[5]
    • Intelligence caps at 200 and there are 10 points of leeway. These extra 10 points require you to sacrifice one of the best items in the game.[6] You do not have to max Intelligence but if you want to, you cannot miss any instances of it.

Equipment tips[edit | edit source]

Here are some equipment related tips:

  • It is usually ideal to have equipment on each character that prevents critical hits. If you reserve an accessory slot for this[7], it can be quick and easy to determine if someone has an accessory that blocks critical hits.

  • This walkthrough lists enemy information in collapsible tables. You can look ahead to see if you are fighting enemies that inflict certain status effects.

Skill tips[edit | edit source]

Here are some skill related tips:

  • Do not neglect skills that increase your party members' stats. They are very valuable.
  • There are a lot of skills are locked behind other skills, including ones that only give stats.

Grim8P Note: The below skills are, in my opinion, some of the best skills in the game. This does not mean you should save up to get them before anything else necessarily, but that in general getting them sooner than later is going to be best.

  • Sorcerer
  • Slayer
    • Slayer's Speed I through V.[12]
    • Slay Flesh[13]
    • Slay Spirit[14]
    • Counterattack[15]
  • Grandmother

Honorable mentions:

  • Any skill that debuffs Agility, such as Tackle from Little Bad Wolf and Bind from Sorcerer.
  • Forest Lore from Woodsman removes most status effects and debuffs.
  • Fey Voice and Ethereal Mana from Forestkin are both useful skills.
  • Smelling Salts from Herbalist gives you a way to resurrect someone outside of battle well before you gain a skill that works in battle.

Prologue[edit | edit source]

Porn Tale - Bangville - Investigate the Disturbance[edit | edit source]

Enter Ingrid's house to the northwest. Enter the east bedroom. Interact with the chest. Interact with the bed to rest.[19] Select "Masturbate". Sex scene: Ingrid's first masturbation scene. Exit the building.

Important: Interact with the figure in white. This figure gives you items that when equipped, make the game significantly easier. If you choose to equip one, it will lock in place and you will not be able to remove it. When the items are equipped, certain challenges will be removed, but no story or adult content will be removed. If you make it through the entire game without equipping them, you can hand them in for a cosmetic key item that represents your achievement. Simply owning the items does not enable the easy mode. If you are struggling with the game, you can equip the items, one per character. This walkthrough assumes you are not equipping the items although you can certainly still follow it.

Head east to find the mayor speaking with an Order of Tales soldier. Before we leave, we want to increase the Intro variable. Complete the following in any order:

  • See the "Masturbate" scene inside Ingrid's House. +2
  • Interact with the librarian in The Naughty Library (northeast). Intro +1
  • Interact with Mister Wolf in the center of town. Select "Promise to Visit". Intro +1
  • Interact with the man in purple to the southwest. Intro +1
  • Interact with the woman in yellow south of The Pounding Anvil (southeast). Select "Bad to the bone". Intro +1
  • Interact with Mister Smith in The Pounding Anvil. Intro +1
  • Lose at least one fight in the Bangville Glade.[20] Intro +1

Exit Bangville to the south. Interact with the girl along the path for a useful tip on how Ingrid's Wink ability works. Exit to the south for a scene.

Open the chest partially hidden to the southeast before the fight. Head south for a fight and lose. Head southeast for a fight and win.[21] Interact with the chest. Interact with the chest to the west. Head south and east to proceed to a scene and a fight. Sex scene: First Hood/Fenris scene.

This fight is scripted. Just attack repeatedly until the second phase starts. In the second phase, have Hood use Skill > Searing Blast to defeat the enemies.

Optional:

  • In the Bangville Glade, interact with the Order soldiers.

  • 1x Hand Mirror (Key Item) - Ingrid's House

Intelligence:

  • -8 Intelligence - Interact with the librarian in The Naughty Library.

Corruption:

  • +3 Corruption - Interact with Mister Wolf. Select "Promise to Visit".
  • +3 Corruption - Interact with the girl in yellow to the southeast. Select "Bad to the bone".
  • +3 Corruption - Interact with the man in purple to the southwest.
  • +3 Corruption - Interact with Mister Smith in The Pounding Anvil.

  • +5 Corruption - Enter Ingrid's house and rest in her bed to the east. Select "Masturbation".
  • +6 Corruption - Lose a fight on the way to Hood and Fenris.
  • +1 Corruption - Lose additional fights on the way to Hood and Fenris.

Bleak Tale - Bleak Caverns - Survive[edit | edit source]

The first part of this section has a bonus for making it through to the end without dying and it can be tough. Only fight enemies as indicated for now.

Note: Later in the game you can grind as much experience and money as you want, however until then, there is a scripted series of battles in a few sections that you will want as much experience and items as you can get if you want to get the best possible outcome.

Open the menu and select Skill > Ingrid > Equip Skill > Slut I > Empty. That is correct, unequip the Slut I skill.

Head east for a chest. Head south and fight the closest stationary enemy. Head south past the fight you just won, then fight the northern stationary enemy, dodging the roaming enemy. Kill the Flameling first. After the battle, open the menu and use the Bread and the Long, Hard Loaf to heal Ingrid. Head northeast to get ambushed. Head southeast for a scene. Hood should say "But I'm impressed you survived this long, given the nature of your Tale."

Now that you have Hood it no longer matters if Ingrid falls for the rest of this section. Do not use any other consumables in this area. Interact with the five skull piles.[22] Head west to where you came from and fight all of the enemies. Interact with both chests. Refer to the image as appropriate.

Return to the skull piles to the east. Continue to fight every enemy. Follow the path south and interact with the chest. Head west, south, then east for a fight. Interact with the chest. Exit south.

You can interact with the open chest for some dialogue. Head north. You can interact with the portal for some dialogue. Interact with Fenris to proceed.

Loot:

  • 1x Slutty Riding Hood, 1x Bustier - Ingrid's starting equipment.
  • 1x Bread - East of Ingrid's starting location
  • 1x Bread, 2x Maiden's Kiss, 1x Cracked Sphere (Key Item), 1x Scratched Bracer - Among the five skull piles.

Chapter 1 - Fuck this Porn Tale, I'm outta here! [23][edit | edit source]

Bangville - Stranger in a Familiar Land[edit | edit source]

This section starts by resetting Ingrid's Intelligence and Corruption so there are no negative side effects to having lowered her Intelligence or raising her Corruption before this point. Then there is a check on the Intro variable:

  • If Intro >= 8
    • +5 Intelligence
    • -3 Corruption
  • If Intro 4-7
    • -2 Corruption
  • If Intro 0-3
    • -1 Corruption

Interact with the roaming woman near Ingrid's House.[24] Enter Ingrid's House. Interact with Ingrid's mother. Enter the west room and interact with the west bedside table. Exit the house.

Head south and interact with the chest adjacent to the House of Cumerce (blue roof, sign that says "ITEM"). Head northeast and interact with the chest adjacent to The Naughty Library. Enter the The Naughty Library and interact with the books on the blue shelf nearest to the door.[25] Exit the building.

Head south and interact with the chest between the The Pounding Anvil and Big John's House. Enter Big John's House. Interact with Big John. Exit the house. Enter The Pounding Anvil for a scene. Exit the building.

Optional:

  • Purchase 1x Sexy Ring in the House of Cumerce and equip it on Ingrid.
  • Attempt to enter the adult section of the library.
  • Interact with the stationary woman in yellow standing near the entrance to Bangville.
  • Interact with all of the Bangville residents to bask in Ingrid's new found appreciation for them all.

Exit Bangville.

Loot:

  • 1x Reinforced Bustier - Ingrid's House - Interact with Ingrid's mother. Interact with the west bedside table in the west bedroom.
  • 1x Maiden's Tears - Bangville - Adjacent to the House of Cumerce.
  • 1x Long, Hard Loaf - Bangville - Adjacent to the Naughty Library.
  • 1x Long, Hard Loaf - Bangville - Between Big John's House and the Pounding Anvil.
  • 1x Iron Basket - The Pounding Anvil - Automatically, after entering the building for a scene.

Intelligence:

  • +5 - Start this section with 8+ Intro.
  • +5 - Interact with the books in The Naughty Library.

Corruption:

  • -3 - Start this section with 8+ Intro.

Porn Tale - Stranger in a Familiar Land[edit | edit source]

Exit northwest. Interact with the hidden chest to the west of Grandmother's House. Enter the house. Sex scene: Mister Wolf scene.

After being teleported to Bangville, interact with the woman in yellow outside The Pounding Anvil. Exit south.

We still want to fight every battle possible to prepare for an upcoming difficult fight. There are three chests and six fights in this area. Complete them all. In the forest south of Grandmother's Clearing is an axe sticking out of a tree stump. Interact with this to gain the Violence skill. Enter Mister Wolf's House and interact with a chest. Exit the house. Exit south.[26]

There are three fights here. Attempt to interact with the mushrooms just southeast of the entrance to this area for a fight. If you missed the guarded chest earlier, it is south of the mushrooms you just fought. Head to the southeast most corner where you first saw Hood and Fenris for a scene. Interact with the shiny spot.

Open the Menu > Skills > Learn Skills > Slut and learn Sexual Healing. Enter Ingrid's House. Interact with the east bed to rest.

Optional:

  • Purchase 1x "Milk".

Exit Bangville. Between the entrance to Bangville and the entrance to Grandmother's Clearing is a small forest. In the northwest corner, there is a small red portal. Interact with the portal for a scene. Interact with the portal and select "Yes" to proceed.

Loot:

  • 1x Long, Hard Loaf - Grandmother's Clearing
  • 1x Long, Hard Loaf - Bangville Woods - Hidden in the trees north of Mister Wolf's house. Northeast of the sign outside Bangville.

Wilhelm's Tale[edit | edit source]

Feral Clearing[edit | edit source]

Read up to and optionally including the two collapsed enemy tables below before continuing. After the scene, head south. You will trigger another scene and a fight. A bunch of enemies will spawn one at a time and chase you down until you fight them. Your goal is to loot an item from each of skull piles / skeletons in each of the four corners and survive all of the fights until the fight with the Killer Wolf.

After the first fight, loot the southeast pile for equipment that you should equip immediately. Loot the other three spots in any order.

Item and Skill Notes:

  • Bread heals 25% HP.
  • Long, Hard Loaf heals 100 HP.
  • Water heals 50% MP.
  • "Milk" heals 50 MP.
  • Sexual Healing heals 7x Ingrid's Magic stat with a 20% variance[27]
  • Maiden's Kiss both remove poison but the Bangville version does not remove some status effects the normal one does so use it first.

Use your items appropriately.

Wilhelm's Tale - Part 1[edit | edit source]

Congratulations on surviving the wolf assault! You can now grind enemies for experience and archetype points as desired.[30]

Grim8P Note: I recommend you fight each enemy in an area the the first time you visit, if you visit an area and things have changed significantly, or you notice the enemies have changed. Also potentially of note is that only some enemies respawn in a given area. This can change depending on the area but is generally true.

You can rest for free near the campfire Wilhelm set up. You should equip the Wolf's Claw if you got it. Take a moment to look at Wilhelm's skills.[31]

Interact with the chest in the camp. Exit northwest. Interact with the portal to the north. Exit south. Exit southeast.

You can fight the roaming enemies before fighting the boss.[32]

Fight the stationary enemy to the south to proceed.

Loot:

  • 5x Bread, 2x Water - Chest at the campsite.
  • 1x Iron Axe, 1x Reinforced Shirt, 1x Breastplate, 1x Torn Ribbon - Wilhelm's starting equipment.

Wilhelm's Tale - Part 2[edit | edit source]

You can interact with the items in Wilhelm's house for some of Ingrid's thoughts. Exit the building to proceed.

A quick note on archetypes and archetype points:

  • Each character only gains archetype points for the archetype they currently have equipped.
  • Some skills cannot be learned until you learn other skills in the same archetype. This includes the ones named after the archetype.[33]
  • Some of the very best skills are locked behind the most expensive skills to unlock. Some skills are locked behind every other skill in the archetype.
  • The skills named after the archetypes provide a lot of stats. Do not forget to equip them. Do not neglect them.
    • Ingrid's Slut skill is worth reequipping once you unlock Slut II.
  • Some equipment is only available to certain characters when they have specific archetypes equipped. It is a good idea to check party members' equipment after changing their archetype.

Grim8P Note: Woodman's Piercing Strike should replace Violence as a direct upgrade.[34]

After the scene, you can equip the Woodsman archetype on Ingrid. Exit north. To the north of the camp Wilhelm took you to initially is a rock with a shiny spot. Interact with the shiny spot for a fight. Exit northeast.

Follow the path and interact with the chest to the east. Climb the stairs and interact with the log to push it off the cliff. Cross the gap via the log. Before climbing the stairs, head west then south into a hidden area. Interact with the hidden chest. Climb the stairs to the north. Head west for a scene. Continue west then south. Interact with the two sticks near the tree for a scene. Head north and interact with the red portal to proceed.

Loot:

  • 1x Woodsman's Axe (Key Item) - Obtained automatically.
  • 1x Iron Axe - Obtained automatically.
  • 1x Leather Bustier - Obtained automatically.
  • 1x Leather Riding Hood - Obtained automatically.
  • 100 Golden Coins - Interact with the shiny spot above the camp in the Feral Wastes.
  • 1x Basket Lunch - Chest in the Feral Cliffs.
  • 350 Golden Coins - Hidden chest in the Feral Cliffs.

Archetypes:

  • Woodsman for Ingrid - Obtained automatically.

Brunhilde's Tale[edit | edit source]

Exploring Hoodton - Part 1[edit | edit source]

Grim8P Note: There are a few different things you can spend your money on in this area. I recommend you scope everything out and wait until after the Red Arena before making any purchases.[35]

Head west and enter the house for a scene.

Exit north. Enter the inn and interact with the quest board to the northwest. Climb the stairs. Interact with the roaming woman in purple for a quest. Exit the inn.

Head east and enter the Hoodton Equipment Shop. Interact with the guard to unlock the ability to purchase the Guard archetype. You can purchase equipment from the woman in yellow. Exit the shop.

West one building is the Hoodton Item Shop. You can purchase consumable items and accessories here. You can find a closed portal just north of the Hoodton Item Shop.

Head south and enter the building. Interact with the woman and select "Yes". This gives you access to the Hoodton Library. Interact with the the bottom row west bookshelf. You can interact with the book on the pedestal to the north to learn about different status effects. You can interact with the pile of scrolls to the east to learn about the base and secondary statistics. Exit the building.

Head west and interact with the man in purple near a table. This man is cheating and will take your money if you play.[36] You can come back here when Ingrid has Intelligence >= 115 for a different result. Behind the man is a bar. Attempt to enter the bar.[37] You can successfully enter this bar once Ingrid has Corruption <= -30.

Head north across the bridge and then head east. Attempt to enter the warehouse.[37] You can successfully enter the warehouse once Ingrid has Corruption <= -50. For now, follow the path and enter the cave. Attempt to solve the puzzle by pushing boulders into the switches.[37] You can successfully solve the very difficult Sokoban puzzle once Ingrid has Intelligence >= 110.

Head west then north. Attempt to enter the building at the top of the stairs.[37] You can enter this building much later in the game. Proceed east from the building to find a closed portal.

Exit Hoodton to the south. Exit west.

Optional:

  • There are lots of interesting conversations in town. In the Oldest Brother, the man in the southeast corner on the first floor and the order soldier on the second floor, for example. Interact with people.

Training in Hoodton - Part 1[edit | edit source]

You can rest for free on the bedroll inside Brunhilde's house to the southeast.

Explore Hoodton Forest while heading west. You can interact with a man in purple to learn the Lumberjack Archetype.

Grim8P Note: The Lumberjack Hide skill can be very useful for those who have fallen behind on finding accessories that give 100% protection from critical hits. If you are following this walkthrough from start to finish, you will enough accessories to have 100% protection on all characters throughout the game (or at least fairly quickly after obtaining each new character). If not though, this skill can be quite useful early on. The penalties are not ideal for long term use however.

In the southwest corner is a wolf guarding a cave. This is the entrance to the Wolf League. You cannot enter at this time. Exit west.

Grim8P Note: The first fight in Deep Forest is against three enemies. This can be a good fight to grind archetype points on.[38] Enemies only grant 1 archetype point each for a while and this battle is easy.

Head north and interact with the woman in purple for a fight. Afterwards you will participate in a brief minigame. There is no reward for winning and no penalty for losing.

Your goal is now to reach the far northwest corner. This involves crossing a pond. To cross the pond, you must push a tree into the pond. Circle around to north to interact with it. There are also some chests you can interact with along the south of the map. There are two before you cross the water and one after.

After you cross the water and interact with the chest, head north to find the pool and a fight.[39] You will be given the option to teleport back to Brunhilde. There is no benefit to remaining unless you want to continue exploring.

Enter Brunhilde's house. Interact with Brunhilde.

Exit Brunhilde's house. Exit east twice. Head north into the walled area and interact with the guard for a scene. In the northeast corner is a green fairy. You can pay her 100 Golden Coins to learn the Forestkin archetype. You can interact with the group of Girls to the east for a scene. Enter the building north of the entrance.

Grim8P Note: The Forestkin archetype is one of the better options and maxing it out entirely is pretty quick and useful. You do not have to grind, but Silence immunity and skill costs being reduced can both be helpful. This is a good archetype to consider purchasing.[40]

Read this next paragraph in full before you do anything. If you interact with the purple Fairy Godmother, she can bless you. This gives you 50 JP for your Woodsman archetype. If you wait until after you beat the Peasant Cup, she can instead increase Ingrid's Intelligence.

Grim8P Note: Increasing Ingrid's Intelligence is a significantly better reward.

Interact with the older woman behind the east desk. Exit north. Continue to exit north to fight the next match. There is no penalty for losing. You can heal for free between matches at Brunhilde's house. After the last match, exit south to proceed.

Grim8P Note: You just unlocked the Slayer archetype for Ingrid. This archetype is one of the best in the game in my opinion. Slay Flesh and Slay Spirit are great throughout the entire game.[41] Slayer's Speed increases the most important stat in the game. Counterattack and Swift Hit are also very good.

Rest before leaving as appropriate.

Regarding The Killing Fields:

  • Brunhilde recommends that you stay away from the monsters.
  • Ingrid recommends that you stay away from the monsters.
  • You should stay away from the monsters.

If you normally move with the mouse, you may find it easier to dodge enemies by using the arrow keys. If autorun is not on, you will want it on. Refer to the image as appropriate.

Exit the building. Exit east. Exit south. Interact with the chest to the southeast of the entrance. The pile of skulls along the bottom of the map. You can make it there by heading southeast or southwest. Interact with the skull pile. Exit north for a scene. Return to Brunhilde's House. Interact with Brunhilde to proceed.

Interact with Brunhilde to obtain a side quest.

Interact with the older woman to the southeast to start the next cup. Exit north and select "Cup Selection". Interact with the statue of Ingrid and select "Yes".[42] Heal, remove status effects, and restore MP between rounds as appropriate. Exit north after each fight to proceed.[43]

After collecting your winnings, rest in the bed as appropriate. You can interact with a guard near the north exit for a unique conversation.

Exit the lobby and head towards the forest. Interact twice with the woman in yellow wandering near the entrance to unlock the Villager archetype for Ingrid's party.[44]

The Red Arena[edit | edit source]

You can compete in the Red Arena throughout the entire game. When you should complete each cup can depend on the skills you have learned and the amount of grinding you have or have not done. It is recommended that you attempt the next round of solo and group cups throughout the game and make progress as appropriate. It is highly likely you will not be able to completely beat the final sections of each until after you enter the post game content.

Training in Hoodton - Part 4[edit | edit source]

Return to Hoodton. Enter the cave with the Sokoban (boulder) puzzle.[46] Push the boulders onto the three switches. Head north and interact with the green fairy[47] Interact with the chest. Exit the cave.

Head towards the Hoodton Library and interact with the girl in purple to play a dancing mini game. If you do not recall how to play the game, select "Explanation". Complete both the Set Dance and Random Dance perfectly. The dances are updated over the course of the entire game and you get a prize for completing all of them.

Note: You may want to add or change your keyboard layout for the dancing mini game if the Z and X keys are not next to each other on your keyboard layout.[2]

Purchase any items, equipment, and archetypes you would like before you continue as you will not be able to return for a bit. Interact with any of the following portals to proceed:

  • The portal near Brunhilde's house
  • The northern portal in Hoodton.
  • The southern portal in Hoodton.

Loot:

  • 1x Fairy Necklace - Hoodton Cave - Complete the Sokoban (boulder) puzzle and interact with the chest.
  • 1x Iron Fruit - Hoodton - Win the Random Dance.

Ulfina's Tale[edit | edit source]

The Forest of Innocence[edit | edit source]

After a scene, you have a decision to make. Throughout this tale, you can decide to play along with the Voice or spread bloodshed throughout the tale.

You can spread bloodshed by doing the following:

  • Bloodshed +1 for each group of local monsters you kill in the Innocent Clearing (where you first arrive).
  • Bloodshed +1 for killing the enemy group where the game tells you to use the Escape command.
  • Bloodshed +1 for each group of local monsters (the humans do not count) you kill in the Innocent Forest.
  • Bloodshed +1 for each human group you kill after falling down the hole, excluding the first one where the Voice says you must run but you don't have the option.
  • Bloodshed +2 for choosing to spare the villager in the northwest section of the Innocent Hills.
  • Bloodshed +2 for interacting with the dead body to the west of the Innocent Cabin.

What Bloodshed does:

  • Towards the end of the section in the Innocent Cabin, you get a chest containing a Ring of Righteousness[49] - Having Bloodshed <= 5 in the Innocent Cabin. for having Bloodshed <= 5.
  • In the Mysterious Dungeon, the game checks if you have 10+ Bloodshed for an optional fight, obtain a Broken Ring, and to set 0139 ??? Beaten ON.
  • Much later in the game you can create the Sinful Ring from the Broken Ring.[50]

Grim8P Note: The decision here is basically do you want an item throughout the entire game that is useful, or a better, more powerful item significantly later. I think a case can be made for either, but I lean towards high bloodshed being better as a personal preference for having the best equipment possible at the end of the game.

Equip Ulfina. Familiarize yourself with Ulfina's skills. Kill or do not kill the enemies in the area based on your preference, then make your way southwest for a scene. Exit west.

Escape from the battle as appropriate. You can interact with the chest to the northwest but you cannot loot it.[51] Exit west to proceed.

Interact with the villagers blocking the east or west exits until Ingrid gains Intelligence and loses Corruption. If you touch a roaming villager you will be teleported away. There is no penalty for this. Exit north to proceed.

Exit north. Win the fight.[52] Kill or ignore the humans in this area as appropriate. Interact with the villager to the northwest as appropriate. Exit northeast to proceed. Sex scene: Ingrid/Ulfina scene.

Interact with the chest if your Bloodshed was low and exit the building. Interact with the body to the west as appropriate. Interact with the chest in the northwest. Interact with the hole to the north to proceed.

Loot:

  • 1x Feral Claws, 1x Flower Necklace, 1x Wolf Cub Emblem - Ulfina's starting equipment.

Interact with the pink blob three tiles north of your starting position. Head east to find a recovery spring. Interacting with it will fully heal your party. It also respawns certain enemies.

North of the recovery spring is another pink blob and a chest. Head back to the entrance to this area. Head west for a chest. Head back to the entrance to this area.

Head north for another pink blob. Head west for a chest but be warned, you'll be ambushed by a tough fight on your way to the chest (which will require you wrap around to the south and then back north).

Wrap back around so you can head north then east. If you have 10+ Bloodshed, you will see a light. Interact with it to start an optional fight, obtain a Broken Ring[50], and to set 0139 ??? Beaten ON.

Continue east and interact with the portal for a fight and to proceed.

  • Deep Forest - In the center of the map. Northeast of the tree you can walk along to cross the small pond.
  • Hoodton Forest - West of Brunhilde's house. Head south, west, then north to obtain it.
  • Wolf League - Speak to the wolf at the entrance in Hoodton Forest. Interact with the west wolf behind the bar.
  • Hoodton - Northwest corner near the well.
  • Hoodton Cave - Inside the cave in the center of Hoodton.
  • The Red Arena - Northeast corner outside of the arena.
  • The Red Arena - Complete the Endurance gauntlet with Ulfina.

Loot:

The Wolf League[edit | edit source]

In the Hoodton Forest you can now enter the Wolf League with Ulfina. Of note, you can:

  • Purchase equipment for Ulfina from the wolf at the silver table to the southeast.
  • Pay 1000 Golden Coins to the black wolf between two pillars to the south. This gives Ulfina 2 skill slots and Attack +5 permanently.
  • Obtain a pretty flower for Ulfina's quest by interacting with the west wolf behind the bar.
  • Interact with the wolves for some dialogue. The southwest wolf in particular.

Grim8P Note: I recommend paying 1000 Golden Coins for the skill slots and +5 Attack.

There will be more to do here later on.

  • There is a stone tablet covered in moss to the east. North of this tablet is a portal. This will take you to Frieda's Tale.
  • There is a path blocked by a tree branch to the northwest. You will return here later.
  • North of where you start is an unmoving monster. It guards a chest with a Heart Branch.
  • In the northeast corner is a woman in brown. You can pay her 500 Golden Coins to learn the Herbalist archetype. She also has a few items for sale.

Grim8P Note: Smelling Salts from Herbalist gives you a way to resurrect someone outside of battle well before you gain a skill to do so in battle.

Optional: You can defeat the stationary enemy now but if you wait for a short period of time it will be easier.

Exit through the portal to proceed.

Frozen Expanse[edit | edit source]

Frozen Expanse

This area wraps horizontally and you start at the bottom. Refer to the image if you need assistance. There are three chests. Find the campfire spot surrounded by trees for a scene and to proceed. Exit south to proceed.

Loot:

  • 1x Mittens - Chest to the south. East of where you start.
  • 3x Meat - Chest near a frozen pond almost halfway up. Northwest of where you start.
  • 1x Cracked Sphere (Key Item) - Chest near the campfire about one screen north of the frozen pond. Northeast of where you start. Southeast of the campfire.

Frozen Outskirts[edit | edit source]

There are two chests in this area. Unequip any of Wilhelm's items that you want to keep for the next section[59]. Exit northwest for a scene. Exit south. Exit east.

Loot:

  • 1x Bread - Frozen Outskirts - Chest to the southeast.
  • 1x Heart Branch (Key Item) - Frozen Outskirts - Chest to the north.

Snow Queen's Fortress[edit | edit source]

This next section has some stealth elements and can be done without being caught. Here is how it works:

  • SQ Infiltration score +1 for each time you approach Snowberus[60] guarding the main entrance from the north or south.
  • SQ Infiltration score +1 for being caught (physically touched, resulting in you being teleported) by the dark grey enemies behind Snowberus and inside the fortress. If they see you and run towards you but do not actually touch you it is fine.

Your SQ Infiltration score is checked after you complete the Snow Queen's Fortress. What SQ Infiltration does:

  • If it is 0, obtain 1x Pure Ice Charm.
  • If it is <= 5, obtain 1x Ice Charm.

These items are used much later in the game as crafting requirements. The Pure Ice Charm is better.

Head east and interact with the tree near the wall. Loot the chest without being seen.[61] Interact with the well to the northwest to proceed.

Grim8P Note: I believe it is more important to not be seen than to get the chest if you find this section too difficult to do both.

Refer to the image as appropriate. Interact with the shiny spot at the bottom of the well to rest for free. Head south and interact with the crystals.

You can interact with some statues throughout the entire fortress for some dialogue. There is a chest beyond the dark grey enemy you can obtain while it is looking the other way. Climb the stairs to the southeast. On other floors you can interact with portraits for some minor dialogue.

Head to the southwest room without being spotted. You can rest for free by eating the food on the table. Head to the chest and select "Approach" for a fight. Interact with the chest. You can head north to find stairs that go both up and down. Descend the stairs for an optional scene. If you do, climb the stairs.

Head to the east without being spotted. Interact with the jail cells. Interact with the chest. Descend the stairs to the south. Head north and interact with the door. Interact with all of the chests. Return to the first floor.

Head west without being spotted and climb the stairs to the northwest. Head east for a scene. Sex scene: Snow Queen x Wilhelm scene.

Head northeast and descend the stairs. Head west and will be ambushed between the west statues. Descend the stairs for a scene. Interact with the chests. Interact with the book on the pedestal. Return to the second floor. Interact with the ice outside of the Snow Queen's bedroom to proceed. Sex scene: Saving Wilhelm scene.

Chapter 3 - Return to Bangville![edit | edit source]

Equip Wilhelm with any items you may have removed from him.

Complete the following:

  1. Open your menu and navigate to Item > Key Item > Friendly Bunny
  2. Select "Shoo it away".
  3. Open your menu and navigate to Item > Key Item > Friendly Bunny
  4. Select "Examine the bunny".

This gives Ingrid gives Ambush Points +1. This will come up later.

Enter the Hoodton Library. If Ingrid has Corruption <= -25[63], she can read the books on the middle row east side.

Enter the Ignored Beggar which is the bar to the southwest. Ingrid should now be able to enter the bar.[64] After the scene, interact with the man sitting at the bar.[65] You can interact with the hooded figure to the northwest and pay 5000 Golden Coins for an Intelligence potion. There will be more to do here later.

Grim8P Note: You will want to pay the 5000 Golden Coins for the Intelligence potion eventually but I'd recommend you do it much later. There is a reminder to purchase it later in the walkthrough.

Return to Brunhilde for a scene. Interact with Brunhilde to hand in her quest. You can now provide Brunhilde with any future Heart Branches you find for archetype points. Heart Branches do not have any other uses.

Head to the Killing Fields. On your way, you can interact with the Order soldier in the Hoodton Crossroads for some dialogue. Interact with the blue ogre to the northwest of the Killing Fields a fight. You can interact with the Order soldier to get them to leave.[66]

Loot:

  • 1x Cracked Sphere (Key Item) - Killing Fields - Obtained automatically, after defeating the Rogue Ogre.

Intelligence:

  • +5 - Key Item - Shooing then examining the Friendly Bunny.

Return to Frieda through the north portal in Hoodton. Enter Frieda's Cottage for a scene.

Exit Frieda's Tale to the Overgrown Tale. Interact with the magical brush to the northwest. Exit through the portal.

  • 1x Pure Ice (Key Item) - Obtained automatically.

You can return to Hoodton and rest as appropriate throughout this section. Refer to the images as appropriate.

Interact with the woman in red to the east.

Return to where the woman in red was and head south to be ambushed. Interact with the green orb.[67] This removes the door north of the portal where you started but the way is still blocked for now. Return to the portal regardless.

You can interact with the chest to the northeast of the portal that is already open for some dialogue.[68] Follow the path north of the opened chest and interact with the hole in the ground to descend.

You can interact with the skeleton to the west for some dialogue. Head north of the skeleton for a fight. Interact with the second skeleton. Head as far south as you can. Head as far west as you can. Interact with the chest and the blue orb.[69] This orb can be toggled to raise and lower certain walls.

Head east and interact with the chest. Head back to the blue orb but do not interact with it. Head north. Walk by the blocked chest to be ambushed. Head north. Interact with the vine to climb it.

You can interact with the portal for some dialogue. Interact with the boulder. Head north and interact with the red orb.[70]

You can now get the chest that was north of the blue orb. Descend, turn the blue orb back on, return to the portal you started at, descend from the hole north of the portal, and interact with the chest.

Return to the skeleton near the first hole you descended down. To the west and then north is a path you can now follow. Follow this path. Interact with the chest to the northwest. If there is a wall blocking the path, return to the blue orb and interact with it, then return here and continue along the path. Climb the vine.

Interact with the chest to the south. Head north and cross the bridge to the west for an ambush. Interact with the switch.[71] Return to the first portal. Head north of the starting portal one last ambush.

Before you enter the blue portal, this is your last chance to rest or purchase any items, equipment, or archetypes you are interested in. You will not be able to return to Hoodton for a while. Exit through the blue portal to proceed.

Loot:

  • 1x Heart Branch (Key Item) - Beneath the Forest. A skeleton to the northwest of the first place you descend.
  • 1x Pure Water - Beneath the Forest. Near the blue orb to the southwest.
  • 1x Ranger's Cloak - Beneath the Forest. With the blue orb off, to the southeast.
  • 1x Forest Hood - Beneath the Forest. After moving the boulder out of the way, turn the blue orb on and circle around.
  • 1x Meat - Beneath the Forest. Northwest corner, after destroying the red orb.
  • 575 Golden Coins - Labyrinth Forest. Climb the northeast vine in Beneath the Forest after destroying the red orb, then head south.

Because of the innate Magical resistance and high Defense, Piercing Strike is ideal.
Vicious Roots (0100) - Magical (5%), Sexy (50%) Immune to Slapped.
Tangling Vines inflicts Stun.
Pale Fluff (0101) - Sexy (50%) Immune to Slapped.
Uses Disperse when HP <= 95%. Disperse heals and double buffs all allies but kills this enemy.
Magic Tree (0092) Magical (125%) Physical (75%), Sexy (50%) Immune to Slapped. Resists debuffs.
Poison Spores inflicts Poison. When Charged, uses an area heal. This skill heals for less than Healing Flow so if the only enemy is the Magic Tree, you are better off not removing the Charge state.
Verdant Bat (0093) - Sexy (50%) Immune to Slapped. Resists debuffs.
When Charged, uses Triple Attack.
Floating Jellyfish (0094) - Sexy (50%) Immune to Slapped. Resists debuffs.
Stunning Tentacles inflicts Stun. Numbing Tentacles debuffs Attack and Defense. When Charged, uses Tentacle Swarm which is an area attack that inflicts Stun and debuffs Attack and Defense.

Isolated Tale[edit | edit source]

Head north for some scripted scenes and fights. Notes:

  • You do not get a chance to rest or use items between fights. It may be worth it to continue a battle with all but one weak enemy defeated to give you a chance to heal or restore MP before the next fight.
  • Cleaving Blow from Wilhelm's Survivor archetype easily wins the first few encounters.
  • After the first fight, if Ingrid's Corruption <= -25, Ambush Points +1. If not, Ingrid starts the second fight with the Ensorcel state.
  • After the third fight, you're given the option to "Hold firm" or "Draw out more opponents".
    • "Hold firm" skips an optional fight.
    • "Draw out more opponents" gives difficult but optional fight. You are allowed to open the menu and restore HP and MP.
      • Winning gives Ambush Points +1 and restores 1000 HP and 50 MP to all party members. Hood gains 2 levels and 50 AP.
      • Losing gives Ambush Points -3.
  • After the decision and potential optional fight, Hood joins your party.
    • If Ingrid is at or above level 15, Hood gains a level and 50 AP.[72]
    • If Ingrid is level 13-14, Hood gains 50 AP.
    • If Ingrid is level 12 or less, Hood gains 25 AP.
  • After the fourth mandatory fight
    • If Ingrid's Intelligence >= 140, gain Ambush Points +1 and 0298 Portal Redirected  ON.
    • Else 0297 Portal Bound ON

Obtain Disguises[edit | edit source]

Check Hood's equipment and learn some skills.[75]

Interact with the shiny spot. Exiting this room the first time creates a shiny spot in the room for a conversation with Wilhelm and Ulfina, and another shiny spot if Ambush Points >= 1. Exit the room and reenter the room. Interact with the shiny spot(s). Exit the room.

You can interact with the hooded figure to rest for free. Exit the building.

New Canisan is made up of two majors maps with the following features:

  • New Canisan Slums
    • Party Hideout - Northeast
    • Shady Canisan Bar - Northeast
    • Canisan Sewers - Northeast, south of the Party Hideout
    • Estra's House - Northwest
    • Discreet House - Most southeast building.
    • Contraband House - Most southwest building.
    • Estra's contact - Blue hair man to the southwest
  • New Canisan
    • Canisan Weapon Shop - East
    • Canisan Armor Shop - Northwest, north of The Savage Claw
    • Canisan Accessory Shop - Southeast
    • Canisan Item Shop - Southwest
    • Canisan Inn - South, near the entrance to town.
    • The Savage Claw - Center

Enter Estra's house to proceed.

  • 1x Sphere of Order (Key Item) - Canisan Party Hideout Interact with the southwest shiny spot after leaving the room at least once. Requires Ambush Points >= 4. This item is used in crafting later on.

Prepare for what's next[edit | edit source]

The Vice in New Canisan quest is about finding some good in Canisan. We want to pick up the quests to complete during our stay here. To do so:

  • New Canisan Slums
    • Enter the Shady Canisan Bar and interact with the man at a table to the north. Find his letter in the Canisan Sewer later and deliver it to him for a New Canisan Ribbon and Canisan Quests +1.
    • Interact with the wolf who complains about being hungry to the north of the New Canisan Slums. Purchase a Meat Bun from the Canisan Item Shop and provide it to the wolf for Canisan Quests +1.
  • New Canisan
    • Interact with the woman behind the Canisan Inn. Purchase Poison (Key Item) from the Contraband House and provide it to her for Canisan Quests +1.
    • Enter The Savage Claw and interact with the man in green at the bar. Find his shovel in the Canisan Mine and deliver it to him for Canisan Quests +1 and 545 Golden Coins.

With Canisan Quests >= 3, Wilhelm will benefit later.[76]

Enter the Contraband House for a scene. Reenter the Contraband House. There are items you can purchase on all four of the tables:

Note: Before you spend your money, lots of enemies here inflict Filth[77] You can purchase equipment that blocks Filth inside New Canisan.

  • Southwest table box - Lockpicking Set - You want this before you leave New Canisan but you may want to spend your money on other equipment first.
  • Northwest table - Poison - Used for a Vice in New Canisan quest. It is not available later on in the game.
  • Northeast table - Magic Lamp - This item gives you a choice with many options.
    • If you are loosely following this walkthrough or have missed any Intelligence points, you will likely not be able to make an informed decision until much later and your money is likely better spent elsewhere for now. Refer to Once_Ever_After_walkthrough#Magic_Lamp_Decision.
    • Grim8P Note: If you are following this walkthrough strictly, or have not missed an Intelligence point and will continue to not miss Intelligence points, my opinion is that you should purchase the Magic Lamp and select "Artifact" for the Djinn's Ring.
  • Southeast table - Unscratched Bracer (Accessory) - Prevents Filth and Order. Blocks critical hits +5 Defense and M.Defense, +10 Agility. Keep this item in mind when you decide to purchase Filth blocking equipment.
  • Southeast table - Cracked Sphere (Key Item) - This item does not do anything until later. Purchase this later.

Purchase any equipment you want, keeping in mind you may eventually want Filth protection for everyone. Exit New Canisan.

Grim8P Note: If you want to grind some money, the 4x Imp fight in the northeast corner of the Canisan Plain is a good place to do so. If you want to grind archetype points or experience, I would wait until you have access to the Canisan Sewer map for the 5x Overgrown Rat fight.

Canisan Forest

Exit to the southwest. You can pay the fairy 250 Golden Coins for the Holy Tears skill. Exit north. Exit southeast.

Grim8P Note: You should definitely purchase the Holy Tears skill as it is cheap and can be used in combat. Your first thought might be to put this on Wilhelm but you may not want to do so. Wilhelm is a good candidate because he is usually the last person standing but later on you will gain access to the Stomachcutter skill which is this skill but better. If you want to put Stomachcutter on Wilhelm[78], you may want to put this skill on someone else as a backup and have two characters who can resurrect others. If you do not mind the idea of putting both skills on Wilhelm and just replacing Holy Tears with Stomachcutter later on, that is fine too.

Loot the chests in this area. When you loot the chest with the Heart Branch you will start a scene and be given a choice:

  • "Take Heart Branch"
    • Gain 1x Heart Branch.
    • When you come back later, it will be better to burn the forest down. This gives you the best accessory for this area.
      • Burned Leaf (+15 to all stats except Max HP and MP, 25% damage reduction from Meta elemental attacks).
  • "Leave it"
    • You do not get the Heart Branch.
    • 0340 CANISAN BRANCH ON.
    • The chests in the area will spawn with slightly better loot later on.[79]
    • When you come back later, it will be better to not burn the forest down. This gives you a slightly worse accessory but you also gain 5 permanent stat increasing consumable items.
      • Whole Leaf (+10 to all stats except Max HP and MP, 15% damage reduction from Meta elemental attacks).
      • 1x Fruit of the Body, 1x Fruit of the Mind, 1x Iron Fruit, 1x Magic Fruit, and 1x Swift Fruit.

Grim8P Notes:

  • The Heart Branch itself should probably not make the decision here for you. You can already have 5 for Brunhilde's quest and if not you can still get more later. After 5, you can hand them to Brunhilde for archetype points but archetype points are also easy to grind.
  • The chests having better loot is also minimal, particularly at that point in the game.
  • The decision here is about the better accessory or the slightly worse accessory and the permanent stat increasing consumables. If you think you will use the accessory, or you just will not use the consumables, it is better to take the Heart Branch now and burn the forest down later. Otherwise you should leave the Heart Branch now and not burn the forest down later.
  • My personal opinion is that the best version of this accessory is the 13th best accessory (or the 5th Other accessory as below). I set up accessory slots on characters as below so you may find this accessory more valuable if you do something else.

You can return to New Canisan to rest whenever appropriate. Refer to the images as appropriate.

Head to the Canisan Mine which is the northeast exit from the Canisan Plain. You can interact with the wolf to the northeast for some dialogue. Exit northwest.

Interact with the chest to the northwest. Descend the ladder near this chest. Interact with the lever.[80] Climb the ladder.

Descend the southwest ladder. Descend the closest ladder. Interact with the chest. Climb the ladder. Climb the northeast ladder. Interact with the shovel.

If you have already given the Wolf a Meat Bun and the older woman the Poison, heading to The Savage Claw and handing the shovel in allows Wilhelm to collect a reward in the Canisan Armor Shop. This is worth doing if you were going to go back to New Canisan to heal anyway.

Return to entrance. Descend the ladder to the southeast. Interact with the chest to the south. Descend the ladder to the west. Interact with the chest to the northeast. Interact with the lever to the northwest.[81] Climb the ladder.

Descend the southeast ladder. Interact with the chest to the south. Interact with the chest to the southwest. Climb the northwest ladder. Fight the enemy. Interact with the chest. Descend the ladder.

Descend the ladder to the southeast. Interact with the lever to the south.[82] Climb the ladder to the north. Interact with the lever to the southwest.[83]

Descend the ladder to the southeast. Head south to proceed. Sex scene: Ingrid's second masturbation scene.

The dialogue in this scene depends on Ingrid's Corruption, but if it is too high[84] -1 Corruption.

Head southwest and interact with the man with blue hair. Sex scene: Ingrid's Canisan titfuck scene. Enter Estra's House for a scene. Interact with the shiny spot. You can purchase the Canisan archetype. Exit Estra's House.

Exit south. Enter The Savage Claw. Interact with the Brotherhood member. Exit the building. Exit north.

Enter the Canisan Sewers. Interact with the Brotherhood member. Descend the stairs.

Interact with the chest to the northwest. Interact with the letter to the southeast. If you do not have enough Filth preventing equipment, it is a good idea to return the letter first for the reward.

Head southwest for a fight and to proceed.

Grim8P Note: The fight with 5x Overgrown Rat to the east can be a good spot to grind archetype points and experience should you want to do so.

Trials Three - Part 3 - Hood's Contact[edit | edit source]

Hand in the Ragged Letter if you have not done so. Rest as appropriate.

Enter the Discreet House. Interact with the hooded figure. Exit the house. Head to the Canisan Sewers. Near where the Ragged Letter was is a path that was blocked. Some is now on the other side and can let you across the gap. Exit east to proceed.

Defeat the enemies. Head north for a third fight and to proceed.

Despite the warning you can interact with items for dialogue. Interact with the mirror in the northwest. Interact with the golden apples in the southeast. Exit south to proceed.

This is your last chance to do anything in New Canisan for a while. You may also want to read ahead about Greed Points because the decision you make when tackling the next dungeon may make it preferable to bring more consumables than you may normally carry. Rest as appropriate. Purchase any items or equipment before you leave.[86]

Purchase the Lockpicking Set from the Contraband House before you leave.[87]

Enter the Discreet House and interact with the hooded figure to proceed.

Descend repeatedly. Before you immediately loot everything in sight, like with Ulfina's Tale there are consequences for your actions. You can gain Greed Points throughout this section. To do so:

  • +10 for each treasure room you enter.
  • +1 for each treasure chest you loot outside of a treasure room.

First section:

Grim8P Note: Unlike in Ulfina's Tale, I think refusing all greed is much better both short term and long term. Refusing all Greed is also required to hit 200 Intelligence without using the magic lamp. However, this is a more difficult dungeon. Not having access to the recovery fountain makes it worse. You may need to prepare ahead of time by bringing more consumable items with you. Purchasing better equipment if you have not done so may also be worthwhile. Focus on weapons first if you purchase any equipment.

Loot the chests as appropriate. Head south. At the first intersection, head east for a chest. Head back west for a chest. Enter the center treasure room as appropriate. Interact with a blue flame on the pedestal to the southeast.[89]

You cannot return to this area once you proceed. Enter the magic circle to the south to proceed.

Interact with the red flame on the pedestal.[90] Head to the southeast. Interact with the chest as appropriate. Interact with the red flame on the pedestal.[91] Return to the starting area.

Head southwest and follow the path along the north wall. Interact with the chest as appropriate. Head east then south. Enter the treasure room as appropriate. Head south and interact with the chest as appropriate. Interact with the red flame on a pedestal.[92] Return to the starting area.

Head south through the middle path and stay west. Enter the treasure room as appropriate. You can use the fountain to heal for free if you enter the treasure room. If you are not collecting Greed Points, stay east. Proceed south. Head south of the next treasure room and interact with the chest as appropriate. Head southeast and interact with the red flame on a pedestal.[93] Head east and interact with the blue flame on a pedestal.[94] Head north and interact with the chest as appropriate. Head northwest and interact with the red flame on a pedestal.[95]

Return to the area around the south treasure room. Head south and fight the grey enemy. Head west and interact with the red flame on a pedestal.[96] Head north and interact with the blue flame[97] on a pedestal.[98] Head south and interact with the chest as appropriate.

Return to the area around the south treasure room. Head east then north. Fight the grey enemy.

Bangville Woods Area[edit | edit source]

You can enter Mister Wolf's house for some dialogue. North of the house, is a tile of brush that Wilhelm can cut down. Interact with it to cut it down. Interact with the chest to the north. Exit southwest.

If you move west in the Bangville Glade, you will see a chest. With Ulfina's help, you can now get to it. Wrap around and interact with the chest. You can head to the clearing in the southeast for some dialogue. Exit north twice.

Bangville[edit | edit source]

There is a lot of great dialogue here. You can talk to everyone and interact with things like items in Ingrid's House, The Naughty Library, and The Pounding Anvil. The man in the House of Cumerce and the woman in yellow with purple hair near The House of Cumerce have amusing dialogue in particular.

Complete the following in any order:

  • Enter Ingrid's house for a scene.
  • Enter The Naughty Library. If you previously missed the Intelligence gains from interacting with the shelves, you can gain it now. Enter the XXX door to the adult section for a scene.
  • Enter Big John's House and interact with him to gain a quest.[99]
  • Enter the House of Cumerce and buy two bimbofication potions. Give them to Ingrid and Hood.

Interact with the mayor. Enter the Cumgeon to proceed.

Intelligence:

  • +10 - Have Ingrid drink the Bimbofication Potion through the menu.

Corruption:

  • -3 - Enter Ingrid's House.
  • -2 - Enter The Naughty Library's adult section.
  • -1 - Have Ingrid drink the Bimbofication Potion through the menu.
  • -1 - Have Hood drink the Bimbofication Potion through the menu.

The Cumgeon[edit | edit source]

You can rest in Ingrid's House as needed. The enemies here are weak and can be easily killed with basic attacks.

There are three chests in the first section. There is a puzzle to the southeast. Interact with the buttons to enable them. Every time you fail Cumgeon Attempts +1. Ingrid will give you a hint based on her Intelligence at Cumgeon Attempts 5. The puzzle's solution:[100]

You can skip this dungeon by interacting with the first door to the north via Hood.

Grim8P Note: I don't think it is worth skipping the dungeon. It is very easy, especially with a guide, and you get some minor loot for completing it normally.

Interact with the red magic circle to nuke the dungeon with Hood. Otherwise interact with the three doors to open them. Interact with the east statue. Interact with the chests. Interact with the west statue.

Interact with the two doors to the north. Exit the Cumgeon and interact with the mayor. Return to the north door and interact with it. Head north for a fight and to proceed.

You can interact with Mister Wolf and Mister Hunter near the House of Cumerce for some dialogue. Outside of Bangville, you can interact with the stump you obtained the Violence skill from for some dialogue. You can enter Grandmother's House for some dialogue.

Before leaving, if you have not completed the Path Cup in the Red Arena, you will want 1x Long, Hard Loaf and 1x "Milk". Purchase one of each if you do not have one, and keep them for an upcoming fight.

Exit Bangville. Interact twice with the portal to the northwest to proceed.

Chapter 4 - Fenris and The Dark Dreamer[edit | edit source]

Wilhelm's Tale[edit | edit source]

Exit south for a scene. The enemies here may look the same but they have received an upgrade. You can rest in Wilhelm's House as appropriate.

Head to the clearing where Wilhelm took Ingrid to rest when she first came to Wilhelm's Tale. Fight the wolf. Exit southwest. Fight the wolf to the southwest. Exit north. Exit southeast. Fight the wolf near Wilhelm's House.

Travel to Hoodton through the Feral Cliffs to the northeast.

Head to Brunhilde's House for a scene. Interact with Brunhilde.

Head to the Wolf League. Interact with the black wolf to the south for some dialogue.[102]

Head to Hoodton for a scene. Enter the Hoodton Library and interact with the following bookshelves:

  • Middle row, middle bookshelf
  • Top row, west bookshelf

Interact with the woman in purple outside the Hoodton Library. Win the Set Dance, the Random Dance, and the Marathon Waltz. The dances are updated over the course of the entire game and you get a prize for completing all of them.

Note: You may want to add or change your keyboard layout for the dancing mini game if the Z and X keys are not next to each other on your keyboard layout.[2]

Enter The Ignored Beggar. Interact twice with the hooded figure sitting at a table to the west to learn how to use the Lockpicking Set.[103] Interact twice with the man behind the table full of alcohol twice to start a quest. You can complete two parts of this quest now:

  • Hoodton > The Oldest Brother. Interact with the bartender. Bar Crawl +1
  • The Red Arena > Red Arena Lobby. Enter the northwest room. Interact with the wine cabinet in the northwest corner. Bar Crawl +1
  • Bangville > Mister Wolf's house. Interact with the wine cabinet. Bar Crawl +1

In Hoodton, enter The Oldest Brother. Interact twice with the man behind the table to the northwest.[104]

Enter the Hoodton Warehouse for a scene.[105] Interact with the north door.[103] Interact with all four chests.

Enter the Hoodton Magic Guild, which is the northwest building near the well. The hooded figure sells equipment. The purple fairy trades Cracked Spheres for consumables that permanently increase stats, but not until much later.

Head to the Isolated Tale to visit Fenris. Hoodton > Overgrown Tale > Labyrinth Tale > Isolated Tale. Enter the Isolated Home. Enter the bedroom and interact with Fenris. Exit the house and interact with the blue flame. This is the indicator that you can summon Fenris for a discussion or for his help.

Head to New Canisan. Isolated Tale > Labyrinth Tale > New Canisan. The portal that was closed on your first visit here is now open. It is between the portal to the Isolated Tale and the Overgrown Tale. We can complete two more steps in the Hoodton Drinking Challenge:

  • New Canisan > The Savage Claw. Interact with the bartender. Bar Crawl +1
  • New Canisan > Shady Canisan Bar. Interact with the bartender. Bar Crawl +1

Enter Estra's house and interact with her. Enter Estra's bedroom by interacting with the piece of wall next to the floor mat. Interact with the blue flame. Sex scene: Hood/Fenris/Estra threesome scene.

Return to Hoodton. Enter the Ignored Beggar and interact twice with the man behind the table with the alcohol. The first time fails but gives Bar Crawl +1. The second time completes the Hoodton Drinking Challenge quest. Return to Hoodton.

Head to Frieda's Tale. New Canisan > Labyrinth Tale > Overgrown Tale > Frieda's Tale. Enter Frieda's Cottage. Interact with Frieda to start the Fairy Grandmothers quest. You can now interact with Frieda to rest for free. Interact with her and select "Yes".

Every step you take in this place will cause damage to everyone not currently protected by fire. This damage cannot kill you, so until everyone has protection, check your health before each fight and heal as appropriate.[115] There are three chests with accessories that will protect the person equipped. You can also collect 7 Volcano Flowers for Ulfina to create a necklace that will protect her.

This place is pretty straightforward. Refer to the image as appropriate. Once you have looted everything[116], return to the starting point. Head north and fight the red enemy to proceed. Sex scene: Frieda's scene.

Grim8P Note: This is one of the best archetypes in the game, with many useful skills. However the stats mean Ingrid and Hood can't take very many hits while using it. I would recommend switching to it for regular fights but switching it out for bosses. Alternatively, this is a good archetype to use Heart Branches for since you want to learn all the skills, unequip it, and never equip it again.

Enter Frieda's study and interact with the bookshelf. Remember to remove your Volcanic equipment/accessories if appropriate.

Return to Hoodton > Hoodton Library and interact with the top row center bookshelf.

Grim8P Note: At the time of writing, I believe the Bloody Emblem to be Ulfina's best Body slot. I would recommend purchasing it from the Grimmton Armor Shop. Grimmton has the best purchasable equipment. However, before you spend all of your money, nothing needs to be purchased and the postgame section recommends you spend a lot of money pretty quickly, so consider pacing yourself unless you are struggling.

Some enemies have some skills that deal Violence elemental damage. You can purchase equipment in the Grimmton Armor Shop and an accessory from the Grimmton Item Shop that reduces damage from this element. If you stay the night in the Grimmton Inn, one of three random events occur:

  • The party loses 25 Golden Coins on top of the 5 Golden Coins. The party is then recovered. 0486 Grimmton Inn ON if it was off.
  • The party loses one of the following items if they have one, in this order: Bread, Long, Hard Loaf, and the two versions of Maiden's Kiss. The party is then recovered. 0486 Grimmton Inn ON if it was off.
  • The party is ambushed by 3x Violent Peasant. The party is not recovered.

Enter the Grimmton Weapon Shop and interact with the shopkeeper for a fight. Enter the Grimmton Bar and interact with the barkeeper. Interact with the blue flame for a fight and Bar Crawl +1.[120] Sex scene: Ingrid/Hood/Fenris threesome scene. When prompted, select "Grimmton".

Enter the Grimmton Elder's House. Interact with the man. Exit the house. Enter the Grimmton Abandoned House for a fight. Exit the house.

Return to the Grimmton Elder's House. Interact with the man. Exit the house. Exit north.

Head west then south and interact with the boulders. This opens up a quick route to the Hoodton portal. There is a portal to the northwest but you come here later. You can return to Hoodton to rest as appropriate, however you will unlock a resting spot momentarily.

Head northeast and interact with the Grimmton men. Select "Attack". Enter the cabin. Fight everyone inside. After the scene, you can rest here for free. Interact with the bed for a scene and Ulfina/Wilhelm +1. Exit the cabin.

Grim8P Note: While often there are consequences for your actions, I'm not aware of any here and we want the Ulfina/Wilhelm +1 point. Access to a free recovery spot is also useful.

This is your last chance to rest and purchase items, equipment, and archetypes for a bit. Head west, then north, then east of the cabin to get lost in the woods. Return to the same spot and interact with the blue flame. Interact with the portal to proceed.

After the scene, interact with three chests. Enter the cavern to the south for a fight. Exit southwest and select "Go" for a fight and to proceed. Interact with the chest to proceed.

Remember where you start, as we will be returning here a few times. Head south via the west path. Interact with the chest. Interact twice with the green orb.[121] Return to the starting point.

Head east then both paths to the north one at a time. Interact with the red orb.[122] Interact with the chest. Return to the starting point.

Head north for a scene. The party loses 1000 HP. Head north for another scene. The party loses 100 MP. Head north to a big open area. Remember this area as we will be returning here a few times. Interact with the chest to the west. Head south of the chest and interact with the red orb.[123] Head north of the chest and interact with the green orb.[124] Return to the starting point.

Head west then north. Follow both the north and west branches. Interact with the green orb.[125] Interact with the red orb.[126] Return to the big open area.

Head southeast then north. Interact with the red orb.[127] Interact with the chest. Return to the big open area.

Head north to the blue portal but stay a few tiles away from it. Instead head north around it for a fight[128] and a chest.   • When you find the grandmother's house and enter it, if 0559 Stepped Off OFF, Fable Correct +1.
  • When you attempt to enter the grandmother's house 0554 Trapped ON[130], you'll take a step back and a chest will appear containing a Purity Ribbon[131].
  • Enter the grandmother's house to proceed.
  • When given the choice to "Refuse to listen" or "Listen" to the Dark Dreamer, select "Refuse to listen".
  • When given the choice to "Accept" or "Reject" the dreamer's help, select "Accept". Fable Sins -5 This fully heals your party and each party member gains the Dreamer Aura[132] state.

To go against the story, complete the following:

  • Go down at least one side path to set 0559 Stepped Off ON.
  • Go down each side path and fight the enemy. Loot the skull pile or chest in each case, if there is one.
  • When you find Red Cap, interact with the basket of food but do not interact with Red Cap to give it to her.
  • When you find Red Cap and the wolf, hand the food to the wolf instead of Red Cap.[133] Fable Sins +1
  • When you find Red Cap and the wolf, interact with Red Cap and select "Turn towards village". Fable Sins +1
  • When you arrive at the grandmother's house, Fable Sins +1 if 0559 Stepped Off ON
  • Do not attempt to enter the grandmother's house. Attempt to exit north and select "No" twice. Exit north. Fable Sins +1
    • The northwest path near the grandmother's house is not required to get Fable Sins 10+, however if you want to anyway, do so for a difficult fight.
  • When given the choice to "Refuse to listen" or "Listen" to the Dark Dreamer, select "Listen". Fable Sins +3
  • When given the choice to "Accept" or "Reject" the dreamer's help, select "Reject". Your party is resurrected and their HP is healed but MP is not restored.
  • After defeating Bloody Ingrid twice, you gain Fable Sins +1 for each Bloody Bones you have. Then if Fable Sins 10+, 0597 Fable Sins Clear ON
  • You lose any Bloody Bones you had before being teleported back to The Last Campfire.

Whether you enter the grandmother's house or exit north, prepare for a fight.

Grim8P Note: I think going against the story is best for the Intelligence and Corruption gains. You also only gain the Charm of Sin[134] for doing so and it is hilariously better than the Purity Ribbon.

Post game beginning[edit | edit source]

Congratulations on getting an ending! Once you have completed the boss fight north of the Last Campfire and the ending events take place, Ingrid wakes up at the Last Campfire.

Grim8P Note: You can largely do the below sections in any order after the Cumgeon because almost everything opens up for you at once. The following sections are listed in a specific suggested order based on how difficult I found them to be. I also have events that are basically free to accomplish earlier on. The Cumgeon needs to be done early despite it's comparative difficulty. I list the Red Arena last because the final fights are hard enough that you will probably have to wait until later. However the earlier cups still give you some good rewards, the Solo Wolf Cup in particular. You may wish to check in regularly to see if you can make progress before I specifically list that you should now complete the Red Arena.

This walkthrough is about to suggest you purchase a several big ticket items in a row for handing items in for quests. You can do these later if you are low on money. You may want to keep these in mind before you start spending money. I have listed these in their order of priority, but the first three items are much more important than the last three items. Items:

  • 750 Golden Coins for lockpicks (if you have not already purchased them). This gives you 1000 Golden Coins and some other items.
  • 1000 Golden Coins for a Sexy Cat Outfit. This gives 1500 Golden Coins and a Cracked Sphere.
  • 3000 Golden Coins for a Magic Lamp (if you have not already purchased it). If you can select the Artifact option, it gives one of the best items in the game. If you need this for Intelligence, wait until later.
  • 2500 Golden Coins for a Bonesaw. This gives +1 skill slot and +5 Defense for everyone.
  • 2500 Golden Coins for Wolf League training. This gives Ulfina an improved Wolfbite skill, a skill slot, and +5 Attack.
  • 1000 Golden Coins for a Sexy Nurse Outfit. This gives -3 Corruption.
  • 1000 Golden Coins for the Shady Canisan Bar Woman. This gives a Fruit of the Body.
  • 1500 Golden Coins for a Cracked Sphere (if you have not already purchased it).
  • 5000 Golden Coins for an Intelligence item in the Grandmother's Bathhouse Interior.
  • 5000 Golden Coins for an Intelligence item in the Ignored Beggar.

Grim8P Note: I would recommend you play through the sections as listed and grind if you want to during the grinding section but if you feel compelled to grind early, refer to that section for some tips. The monsters recommended for grinding gold do not spawn until after your first visit to the Crucible of the Abstract.

If you went against the story in the Once Upon a Time section, interact with the chest.

Interact with the blue portal to the southwest to be taken to an area where you can replay the sex scenes and images you have unlocked so far. You can interact with sign posts to gain hints for scenes and images you have not yet unlocked. Interact with the red portal to the northwest to proceed.

Loot:

Branching Oddities[edit | edit source]

Head to the Bangville Woods > Deep, Deep Woods[137]. Interact with the green portal to the southeast. Exit west. Exit north. Interact with the chest.

Head to Brunhilde's House for a scene. Head to the Order tale.[138] Interact with the tiny portal for a scene. Return to Hoodton.

Head to the Isolated tale.[139] Enter the Isolated Home and interact with Fenris for a scene. You can interact with the blue flame in the Isolated Clearing to save a trip back here but it will be mentioned later on as well.[140]

Return to Brunhilde's House. Interact with the blue flame. Sex scene: Brunhilde/Fenris/Hood scene.

Grim8P Note: The blue flame does not disappear afterwards but there is nothing else to do with it.

The Sphere of Hoodton allows you to teleport to different tales. Access this through the menu under Items > Key Items.

Grim8P Note: If you use the Sphere of Hoodton to travel to the Red Arena, there is immediate access to a bed to rest.

Enter Bangville > Cumgeon and descend the rope. Once you complete this area you will no longer have access to it. Make sure you obtain everything you want before you leave.

The enemies here are tough[141] but do not respawn. They also do not drop any items or aggro onto you automatically and can be skipped if you wish. You can leave and rest at Ingrid's House as appropriate.

Interact with the blue portal to the west. Head east and follow the path northwest. Interact with the blue portal. Interact with the chest.

Interact with the chest to the south. Return to the beginning.

Interact with the blue portal to the east. Head west and interact with the chest. Head west and interact with the chest. Return to the beginning.

Interact with the blue portal to the northeast. Return to the beginning.

Follow the path northwest and interact with the blue portal to the north. Return to the beginning.

Interact with both chests to the north. Open the menu and give this to Ingrid.[142] Return to the beginning. Exit northwest to proceed. Sex scene: Wilhelm titfuck scene.

Enter Ingrid's House and sleep in her bed for a scene. Sex scene: Ingrid's final masturbation scene.[143]

Big John relocates to Hoodton > The Oldest Brother. You can interact with him for some dialogue.

  • -5 - Interact with Big John with Corruption <= -60.

After completing Deep Cumgeon, enter the Pounding Anvil for a scene. This will complete the Bangville, One Last Time quest.

Ingrid can craft the below items at the anvil if you meet the criteria. Interact with the anvil repeatedly if you have the required materials for more than one item.

  3. Dead Tale - Open the purple chest to the southeast.
  4. Bleak Tale - Complete the dungeon.
  5. Beneath Hoodton - Open the purple chest to the northwest.
  6. New Canisan > Contraband House - Pay to open the purple chest.

Interact with the clothing stall to the north of Bangville. Ingrid can have interactions with various characters if she owns or has equipped specific items sold by this vendor before interacting with them.

  • Bangville > House of Cumerce. Equip the Sexy Nurse Outfit on Ingrid. Interact twice with the man in the center of the room. Reequip Ingrid's Body armor as appropriate.
  • New Canisan > Estra's House. Interact twice with the girl in yellow while you have a Sexy Cat Outfit.[145]

Loot:

  • 1x Cracked Sphere (Key Item) - Interact twice with the girl in yellow while you have a Sexy Cat Outfit.
  • 1500 Golden Coins - Interact twice with the girl in yellow while you have a Sexy Cat Outfit.

Bangville Woods Aware Orc[edit | edit source]

After completing the Deep Cumgeon, head to Bangville > Bangville Woods. Interact with the roaming blue flame near the crossroads sign for a scene. Interact with the orc to determine his fate.[146]

If you select "Help orc", he relocates to the Bleak Tale. You can interact with him for some dialogue. Sex scene: Orc titfuck scene.

Grim8P Note: I do not see any benefit to killing him.

Corruption:

  • -5 - Select "Help orc". Requires Corruption <= -75.[147]

Bimbofication potion[edit | edit source]

The House of Cumerce sells Bimbofication potions. You can have each character drink them for some dialogue. While having Hood drink one gives -1 Corruption, you can get to the max of -100 without it. I would only do so if you want to see the dialogue or you missed some Corruption earlier. You will get one more Bimbofication Potion during Return to Bleakness - Part 2.

Note: Bimbofication Potions disappear if you leave the Tale.

Corruption:

  • -1 - Have Hood drink the Bimbofication Potion through the menu.[148]

Bangville sex scenes[edit | edit source]

Head to Mister Wolf's House. Interact with Mister Wolf.[149] Sex scene: Second Mister Wolf scene.

Head to Bangville > Bangville Woods > Bangville Glade. Interact with the blue flame to the southeast.[150] Sex scene: Real Hood/Fenris scene.

If you followed along with the walkthrough above, you will have already completed this section.

Ingrid can learn to get better at drinking by drinking in a few different places. This quest is started in Hoodton > The Ignored Beggar. Interact with the man to the west of the bar behind the table. Ingrid can improve herself by drinking at the following places:

  • Hoodton > The Oldest Brother. Interact with the bartender. Bar Crawl +1
  • The Red Arena > Red Arena Lobby. Enter the northwest room. Interact with the wine cabinet in the northwest corner. Bar Crawl +1
  • Bangville > Mister Wolf's house. Interact with the wine cabinet. Bar Crawl +1
  • New Canisan > The Savage Claw. Interact with the bartender. Bar Crawl +1
  • New Canisan > Shady Canisan Bar. Interact with the bartender. Bar Crawl +1
  • Grimmton > Grimmton Bar. Interact with the blue flame. Bar Crawl +1 Sex scene: Ingrid/Hood/Fenris threesome scene.

Return to Hoodton > The Ignored Beggar and interact with the man to the west of the bar behind the table.

Note: You may want to add or change your keyboard layout for the dancing mini game if the Z and X keys are not next to each other on your keyboard layout.[2]

Red Arena Grimmton artifact[edit | edit source]

Head to Grimmton > Grimmton Weapon Shop. Interact with the hooded figure. They sell a Bonesaw for 2500 Golden Coins. This accessory increases experience points gained to 150% for the equipped character. Purchase one to exchange with a man in The Red Arena.

Head to The Red Arena. Head northeast to the red building with a bald man. Interact twice with the bald man and select "Yes".

Skills:

  • +1 skill slot and +5 Defense for everyone - Red Arena. Give the bald man a Bonesaw.

Lockpicking the Hoodton Warehouse[edit | edit source]

If you have followed the walkthrough, you have completed this section already.

  1. Purchase lockpicks for 750 Golden Coins from the New Canisan > New Canisan Slums > Contraband House.
  2. Head to Hoodton > The Ignored Beggar and interact with the hooded figure at a table to the west.
  3. Head to Hoodton > Hoodton Warehouse and interact with the metal door to the north.
  4. Interact with all of the chests.

In the Hoodton Library, there is a vendor to the northeast. They sell a Bell of Tasks accessory for 2500 Golden Coins which increases archetype points gained to 150% for the equipped character.

Head to Hoodton > Hoodton Library. Pay the library fee of 100 Golden Coins. Read all of the books.

  • Bottom row west bookshelf has no requirements.
  • Middle row west bookshelf requires 120 Intelligence.
  • Middle row center bookshelf requires Hood.
  • Middle row east bookshelf requires Corruption <= -25 or Intellgence >= 150.
  • Top row west books require Intelligence >= 150.
  • North bookshelf requires the Grandmother archetype from Frieda.

Wolf League[edit | edit source]

Head to the Wolf League. Interact twice with the black wolf to the northwest.[153] Select "Yes". Sex scene: Wolf gangbang scene.

Interact with the black wolf between the pillars to the south. Pay him 2500 Golden Coins. for a skill slot, +5 Attack, and an improved Wolfbite skill.[154]

You can move Ulfina and Wilhelm's relationship along by completing specific tasks. If you have followed the entire walkthrough, you will have completed the first two tasks already.

  1. Head to the Wolf League. Interact with the black wolf to the south between two pillars.
  2. Head to the Isolated Tale and interact with the blue flame outside the Isolated Home. "Sex" scene: Ulfina headpat scene.
  3. Head to Wilhelm's tale and interact with the blue flame outside of Wilhelm's House. Sex scene: Ulfina blowjob scene.[155]
  4. Head to the Isolated Tale and interact with Hood inside the Isolated Home. Sex scene: Foursome scene.[156] Enter the Isolated Home and interact with the shiny spot in the bedroom.
  5. Head to the Last Campfire and interact with the shiny spot on a bedroll. Sex scene: Final Wilhelm/Ulfina scene.

Return to Bangville and craft an item with the Amalgam as appropriate.[157]

Head to the Cheerful Tale. Attempt to enter Happyville twice and select "Yes".[158] You can attempt to re-enter Happyville for some dialogue.

  • -5 - Enter Happyville with Corruption <= -80.

Crucible of the Abstract - Part 1[edit | edit source]

Head to the Last Campfire. Enter the portal to the northeast.[159]. Interact twice with the bed. Sex scene: Crucible failure scene. If you have -100 Corruption, interact with the bed again. Sex scene: Crucible success scene.[160] This is required for the best ending.

If you have not used the Storybook items, you can hand them in to the figure in white after completing the Crucible success scene.

Exit the Crucible of the Abstract for a scene where a boss spawns in Grimmton. We will come back to this later.

Loot:

  • The Challenger's Storybook (Key Item) - Talk to the figure in white and hand in the storybooks.

Use the Sphere of Hoodton to teleport to the Bleak Tale. Interact with the shiny spot to the south for a Heart Branch.[162]

Magic Lamp decision[edit | edit source]

Head to New Canisan > New Canisan Slums > Contraband House. All of the items here are useful, however the magic lamp is an item you can purchase and choose what benefit you want:

  • Health

    • Everyone: 200 Max HP to everyone
  • Magic
    • Individual: 250 Max MP
    • Everyone: 50 Max MP to everyone
  • Wealth: 9999 Golden Coins
  • Artifact: Djinn's Ring (Accessory)[163]
  • Skill
    • Individual: +3 skill slots
    • Everyone: +1 skill slot for everyone
  • Intelligence: +10 Intelligence

Grim8P Notes:

  • The Health and Magic options are probably not the best choice. You can use Cracked Spheres for these instead.
  • The Wealth option is absolutely not worth it. You can grind for money whenever you want.
  • The Intelligence option is a failsafe to hitting 200 Intelligence. You can cap Intelligence by getting every other Intelligence gain throughout the game. Intelligence after 175 is not useful outside of two items.[164]
  • I personally think the best option is the Djinn's Ring, especially if you can purchase it right away. I think having more skill slots is the next best use but you can end the game with a large number of skill slots for each party member. Without the Djinn's Ring, there are only 3 end game items that block all status effects. This isn't particularly a problem but there are a lot of good accessories so why use two accessories when you could use one?

Before you grind experience, archetype points, or gold[edit | edit source]

The next few sections involve combat. If you wanted to do some grinding beforehand, now is the time. Some things you may want to know:

  • In Brunhilde's House, interact with Brunhilde and use up any Heart Branches before you start grinding any archetype skills as appropriate. This gives the selected character 100 AP for the archetype they have equipped when the decision is made.
    • Grim8P Note: I can see arguments for basically anything here so feel free to do what you want. If you would like help making the decision, getting Ingrid and then Hood out of Grandmother early is ideal. I would prioritize learning Wave of Healing[165] on someone, probably Ingrid, and then Stasis and then Stasis Field on someone, probably Hood. If you want to max every archetype for every character anyway, Ingrid has access to more archetypes and should receive all of the Heart Branches. I always max Ulfina and Wilhelm first so they should probably not get any unless you want something specific immediately. If you want to max each archetype, focus on that before you focus on hitting level 40 so you do not waste experience points needlessly.
  • For grinding archetype points:
    • The first fight in the Hoodton Forest > Deep Forest gives 3 archetype points and can be won very quickly with basic attacks. You can hold down Shift+Z to win this fight. Exit the screen and return to reset the fight. Repeat as necessary.
    • In the southwest corner of Grim Wasteland (South), Ingrid can interact with the altar to summon wolves to fight. The various Intelligence cutoffs are 125+, 150+, 175+, and 200+. The first round will always summon the worst wolves. The wolves are worth:
    • 000-124 Intelligence - 2 wolves for: 2 Experience, 2 Archetype Point, 2 Gold total.
    • 125-149 Intelligence - 3 wolves for: 15 Experience, 6 Archetype Points, 6 Gold total.
    • 150-174 Intelligence - 3 wolves for: 30 Experience, 9 Archetype Points, 9 Gold total.
    • 175-199 Intelligence - 4 wolves for: 100 Experience, 16 Archetype Points, 16 Gold total.
    • 200-999 Intelligence - 5 wolves for: 250 Experience, 25 Archetype Points, 25 Gold total.
    • You can quickly gain a lot of Archetype Points, especially if you give someone or everyone a Bell of Tasks from the Hoodton Library.
  • For grinding experience:
    • In the middle of the Grim Wasteland (South), you can fight 4x Violent Growth. Hood should be able to one-shot all of them with Fire Blast. You can repeat this for a quick 420 experience.
  • For grinding gold:
    • The Canisan Plain has new monsters and they are worth more gold.[166] These monsters spawn after your first visit to the Crucible of the Abstract.
  • In Hoodton > Hoodton Magic Guild, you can trade Cracked Spheres with the fairy for permanent stat increasing items.
    • If you have not purchased the Cracked Sphere from the Canisan Contraband House, now is a good time to do so.
    • Grim8P Note: I think Agility is the best stat in the game and I do not think it is close. However, I'm less sure on whether you should stack Agility on a specific character, where I can see arguments for each character, spreading Agility out evenly, or catching up slower characters to faster ones. I can see arguments for some stats but Max MP is the worst stat. You should basically never run out of MP and if you do, MP consumables are cheap and restore a significant amount.

New Canisan Mine Return[edit | edit source]

Head to New Canisan Mine: Exterior. Interact with the Estra's friend to the northeast. Enter the mine. Descend the ladder to the southeast. Fight the grey monster. Exit the mine and interact with the Estra's friend. He now sells Alchemical Pestle for 1000 Golden Coins which increases the strength of consumables to 150%.

Loot:

  • 1000 Golden Coins - Defeat the Possessed Mine Equipment and return to Estra's friend.
Enemy Weakness Resistance Misc.
Possessed Mine Equipment (0323) - Sexy (50%), Attack (25%) and M.Attack (25%) debuffs. Immune to Slapped, and Bind.
Uses Drill Barrage when Charged, which is a high damaging attack.
Susceptible to Bind and Stasis Field and can be chain paralyzed if you cast it repeatedly. This is a fairly easy fight regardless though.

The Forest's Wrath[edit | edit source]

Canisan Forest

Head to New Canisan: Forest. Interact with the person near the entrance. Once you complete this area you will no longer have access to it. Make sure you obtain everything you want before you leave.

The boss is in the southeast corner. Take the northeast path near the entrance to get there. After the fight you get a choice. If you returned the Heart Branch earlier, select "Replant the trees". If you did not, select "Burn the trees".

Loot if you took the Heart Branch previously:

  • 250 Golden Coins
  • 1x Maiden's Tears
  • 1x Maiden's Kiss

Loot if you looted the chest to take the Heart Branch but gave it back:

Brothers Three[edit | edit source]

Head to New Canisan > New Canisan Slums > Discreet House. Interact with the hooded figure. Kill the brothers in any order:

  • The Eldest Brother is in The Brotherhood's Rest.
  • The Middle Brother is in the Shady Canisan Bar.
  • The Youngest Brother is outside New Canisan at Grandmother's Bathhouse to the southwest.[167]

Return to the hooded figure in the Discreet House. Choose someone to learn the Stomachcutter skill.

Grim8P Note: I personally put this on Wilhelm since he usually is alive when others are not and I did not regret my decision.

Shady Canisan Bar Woman[edit | edit source]

Interact with the woman in yellow inside the Shady Canisan Bar to help move her to Hoodton.[168] Interact with her again and select "Relocate (1000 Golden Coins)".

You can travel to Hoodon > The Oldest Brother and climb the stairs to find her for some minor dialogue.

Loot:

  • 1x Fruit of the Body - Give the woman 1000 Golden Coins.

Grandmother's Bathhouse[edit | edit source]

Head to the Grandmother's Bathhouse. Enter the building. You can purchase a Puzzle Box from the cloaked figure for 5000 Golden Coins. This gives Intelligence.[169] Exit the building.

Grim8P Note: You will want to pay the 5000 Golden Coins for the Intelligence puzzle eventually but I'd recommend you do it later. There is a reminder to purchase it later in the walkthrough.

Return to Bleakness - Part 2[edit | edit source]

Follow the path forward. Your goal is straight north. Once you reach your destination, enjoy a cameo scene.[171] Sex scene: Ulfina/Qum scene.

Interact with all of the chests. Fight the enemy guarding the purple chest to the northwest. Fight the grey enemy to the northeast. Return to Brunhilde's House. When prompted, select the appropriate answer. If you select "Accept", sex scene: Ingrid/Brunhilde scene.

Head to Frozen Tale > Frozen Clearing > Frozen Forest and attempt to exit north. Exit north. This place wraps vertically and horizontally. Refer to the image as appropriate.

If you move north three tiles when you start, then head east you will find the center chest. Interact with all of the chests. Head to the campfire spot surrounded by trees for a scene and to proceed.

Snow Queen's Fortress

The fight is scripted to start with everyone being Frozen if possible. Icestrike[136] inflicts Frozen. Queen's Shards[136] and Winter's Heart[136] inflict Frozen in an area. Uses Winter's Heart every 4 turns starting on turn 0. Uses Icy Repose every 4 turns starting on turn 1, which heals and adds the Repose state.[180]
Having Wave of Healing from the Grandmother archetype is very useful for this fight. Having Fearless Aura from Woodsman is also useful. Being at full health when Winter's Heart hits is advisable, and may require both Ingrid and Hood to have Wave of Healing.

Return to Innocence[edit | edit source]

Use the Sphere of Hoodton to teleport to Ulfina's Portal. You cannot leave or save until you complete this next section. You cannot return later. This is your last chance to purchase items, equipment, or archetypes for a little bit.

Interact twice with the portal and select "Yes". This area is pretty straightforward. Refer to the image as appropriate.

Follow the main path and interact with all of the chests. You can interact with the man in purple for some dialogue. Fight the red enemy to the south.[181] Interact with the south portal to proceed.

Return to Bangville and craft an item with the Innocent Flower. If this is the seventh Perfect Flower, also craft an item with the Perfect Flowers.

Head to Wilhelm's House. After the scene[183] head south of Wilhelm's house. Interact with the chests and fight the wolf enemy.[184]

Head to New Canisan > The Savage Claw for a scene. Head to Wilhelm's Tale > Feral Clearing. Interact with the giant wolf for a fight and Ulfina/Wilhelm +1.

Return to Bangville and craft an item with the Blightwolf Pelt.

This enemy hits like a truck. Alpha Claw and Jaws of the Blight target Defense. Blight Incarnate targets M.Defense. Void Claw targets both. The damage these skills do is not reduced heavily by having high Defense or M.Defense so making sure you also have higher Max HP (at least 2500) through your archetype is advised. Buffing your team is advised. While you can debuff Defense and M.Defense, the Blight Wolf takes turns quickly so pay attention or they will fall off.
Blight Incarnate uses 100 MP. The Blight Wolf only has 150 MP. You can use Destroy Magic from Slayer or Drain Magic from Grandmother to remove 51 MP to prevent the skill from being used.

Hand of Violence[edit | edit source]

The Hand of Violence spawns after you enter the Crucible of the Abstract and leave. Head to Grimmton and interact with the boss for a fight.

Return to Bangville and craft an item with the Violent Blood.

Violent Potential Charges and adds the Violence state.[185] When Charged, uses Carnival of Gore, which is a high damaging area attack and will probably kill everyone[186]. Every 4 turns starting on turn 2, uses Death, which kills an enemy.[176]
If your team is dying often, focus more on debuffing Defense and M.Defense instead of buffing your team. All of the attacks target Defense and M.Defense equally but you get very little benefit for it. Focus on having higher maximum HP.

Crucible of the Abstract - Part 2[edit | edit source]

Head to the Last Campfire. Enter the northeast portal to enter the Crucible of the Abstract. If you have not done so already, interact with the bed twice for two sex scenes.[187] It is required for the best ending. The bed can then be used to rest. Exit north.

There is no loot here. The only enemy that respawns is the northwest one. Fight the enemies as appropriate. Head north. Once you get close enough to the north exit you will be ambushed by a boss fight. Exit north and select "Yes"[188] for the final boss fight.

If Ingrid Crucible Complete OFF, then 0660 Crucible Ending Trigger OFF, and you go back to the normal ending. During the fight, if you kill Bloody Ingrid in four turns, Ending Failed ON. If you wait 4 turns, the battle ends and you get the best ending.

The Red Arena[edit | edit source]

You can compete in the Red Arena throughout the entire game. When you should complete each cup can depend on the skills you have learned and the amount of grinding you have or have not done. It is recommended that you attempt the next round of solo and group cups throughout the game and make progress as appropriate. It is highly likely you will not be able to completely beat the final sections of each until after you enter the post game content.

Tips:

  • Ingrid with Counterattack from Slayer and the ability to heal against opponents who cannot can be a slow but guaranteed way to win if you do not run out of mana.
  • Piercing Strike ignores the target's Defense and is the solution to more than one fight.
  • Stasis Field from Grandmother is extremely useful in multiple fights, particularly Group Cup fights.
  • Having a lot of Agility is good. Having a lot of stats in general, including from skills, is great.

Solo Cups[edit | edit source]

Girl Cup[edit | edit source]

Once you complete the Endurance Cup with a party member, they can compete in the solo and group fights. Any party member can complete a solo fight and make progress for you as a player.

Enter the Red Arena and exit north. Select "Cup Selection". Head to the end of the northwest path and interact with the statue. Select "Yes". Exit north to proceed to the next fight. Leave the area to heal and save between fights as appropriate. Win all of the fights.

Essential Girl (0533) - Sexy (50%) Immune to Slapped, Stun, and Bind. Immune to Attack, M.Attack, and Agility debuffs. Cannot be critically hit.
Perturbation[135] deals high damage. Tricky Blade inflicts Blind and Silence. When Charged, uses Tricky Blade. When Strong Charged, uses Talestrike[136], which is a high damaging attack that debuffs Attack, M.Attack, Defense, M.Defense, and Agility. When 25% <= HP <= 90%, uses Healing Stance, which Strong Charges and buffs Agility.
Bring Ingrid and stack Agility to the extreme. She needs the ability to heal herself, interrupt attacks, and do damage.
Grim8P Note: I equipped the following skills: Swift Hit, Impact Wink, Sensual Healing, Slut V, Essence Mastery, Animal Strength III, Grandmother's Magic V, Woodsman Defense V, Slayer Speed V, Counterattack, Bloodlust. In terms of equipment, I brought the Lava Basket, Bloody Cloak, Tunic of Twisted Order, Plaited Lock, Dancing Wreath, and Qum's Ring. Ingrid had the Wolf archetype equipped although True Slut is better. I did this at level 38.

Slay Flesh and Slay Spirit[136] are fast attacks that target Defense and M.Defense respectively. Healing heals an ally, removes Burn, Order, and Filth debuffs, and removes Attack, M.Attack, Defense, M.Defense, and Agility debuffs.
Pure Wolf (0601) - Sexy (50%), Attack (50%), M.Attack (50%), and Agility (50%) debuffs. Immune to Slapped, Stun, Bind, and Silence. Cannot be critically hit.
Wolfbite deals damage. Crippling Bite removes Charge, debuffs Agility, and pushes the target's turn back.
Enduring Woodsman (0602) - Physical (50%), Sexy (50%), Attack (50%), M.Attack (50%), and Agility (50%) debuffs. Immune to Slapped, Stun, Bind, and Silence. Cannot be critically hit. High Defense.
Piercing Strike ignores the target's Defense. Warding Blow removes Charge and Strong Charge, and pushes the target's turn back. Wolfslayer is a high damaging attack.
Arcane Girl (0602) - Magical (50%), Sexy (50%), Attack (50%), M.Attack (50%), and Agility (50%) debuffs. Immune to Slapped, Stun, Bind, and Silence. Cannot be critically hit. High Defense.
Bind inflicts Stun and Bind, debuffs Agility, and removes Charge and Strong Charge. Flame[136] is a high damaging attack.

Red Arena Champion[edit | edit source]

Enter the Red Arena Lobby. Enter the Champion's room and interact with the purple chest. If this is the seventh Perfect Flower, return to Bangville and craft an item with the Perfect Flowers. If you do so, return to the Red Arena Lobby and enter the Champion's room. Interact twice with the Arena Champion for a fight.

Reenter the Red Arena Lobby and interact with the Arena Champion and select "Fight". Sex scene: Brunhilde/Champion scene.

Enter the Arena Champion's room and interact with Brunhilde. You can select someone to learn Red Strike. The skill changes based on your choice of Physical[206] or Magical[207]. Refer to Active Skills for more information.

Grim8P Note: I think the Physical version is best on Wilhelm. This skill cannot be countered and doesn't deal any elemental damage. This means Wilhelm finally gets a skill that he can use against enemies where Physical damage if poor. Ingrid, Ulfina, and Hood can deal Physical and Magical damage, and all have skills that cannot be countered already.

Grim8P Note: I brought Ulfina. I equipped the following skills: Slay Spirit, Draining Bite, Tackle, Essence Mastery, Animal Strength V, Slayer's Speed V, Little Bad Wolf III, Bloodlust, Counterattack, Wolf's Hunger, Efficiency, and City Crowds. For equipment, Ulfina had: Veteran Claws, Volcanic Necklace, Bloody Emblem, White Corsage, Whole Leaf, and Grandmother's Pin. Ulfina had the Wolfgirl archetype equipped. Start the fight with a Slay Spirit, then spam Draining Bite and Tackle as appropriate. Better equipment would negate the need for some of the weaker skills.
Arena Champion (0609) - Sexy (50%) Immune to Slapped, Stun, and Bind. Immune to Attack, M.Attack, and Agility debuffs. Cannot be critically hit.

You can get through the entire game without spending any more money on equipment. If you do decide to spend some money on equipment it will only make things easier for you. There are only a few places I specifically recommend spending money and it will either be in small amounts or with enough notice for you to save up.
  36. Just interacting with the man adds an objective to the Exploring Hoodton quest. You can use this to remind you come back here later.

Note that Shattering Blow only helps Ulfina if Ingrid and Wilhelm are using Piercing Strike since it ignores the target's Defense. Both Ingrid and Wilhelm can remove debuffs with Forest Lore.

If you have Stasis Field, this fight is really easy.

  192. Grim8P Note: This fight is more about understanding the fight and preparing for it. Winning before turn 5 should be doable and is ideal. I followed along with all of the prompts except I did not put Ingrid in her Slut archetype. You may still need to change which archetypes people have equipped though. Grandmother put Ingrid under 1000 HP for me (on a low experience run) which makes this fight too difficult. It might take a few tries but it is doable.

  194. Agonion and Vanguard are Susceptible to Stun (so use Bind, Stasis, and Stasis Field). Only the Necromancer resists Agility debuffs. Keeping the Agonion stunned is a higher priority if you can't keep both the Agonion and the Vanguard stunned. Kill the enemies in this order: Necromancer, Keeper if you can't drain its MP (immune to Magical damage), Agonion (immune to Physical damage), Vanguard, Keeper if you did drain its MP (immune to Magical damage). Only the Agonion does anything while Charged, so don't bother canceling it on the other enemy units.
  195. The Arena Champion tells you it should be possible to one shot this enemy under certain circumstances. These circumstances will not happen for you in OEA. This is the only way to win.
  196. You can start by buffing your team since the Summoner only attacks until they have lost 10% of their HP.
