The Great Sage of Ghenalon is a minor character. He's first mentioned by Xerces, who describes him as a powerful towerwalker, to which Simon answers that he always thought of him as only a successful fortuneteller.

During the conflict on Thenours, he helps protect Ghenalon on the tower level against the Lustlord's attacks. He notably throws Tanurak out of Ghenalon. Just after that, Xerces comes to meet him. His death is reported soon after; it's implied that he was killed during this second encounter.
